About The Artist

Nadine grew up on her family's cattle ranch 30 miles southwest of Valentine in Nebraska's Sandhills.

After graduating from high school Nadine McHenry studied art and journalism at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, receiving a BA in Arts and Sciences in 1971. In 1975, she earned an MS in Education from Kearney State College.

Nadine taught art in Lincoln Public Schools, Kearney State College and Nebraska Wesleyan University and served as an adjunct professor in journalism at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. She worked in advertising and marketing for 18 years, retiring in 1996 to return to painting.
