Excerpts from the Artist's Statement:

The inspiration for this exhibit comes from the colors, shapes, and lines of the western prairie.

A prairie landscape is unique. It rolls and moves and has skies that crescendo.

Displaying the swipe of a brush stroke is a very honest and direct way to capture the raw energy of the wind and waving grasses and to convey the rich textures of the prairies.
